๐ Introducing METOBEE! โ the Japan subway navigation app
App guide / What METOBEE does
Your first ride on a Japanese subway, without the guesswork. METOBEE.
Taking the subway on a trip to Japan has those moments where you just freeze! And even on the lines you ride every day, you wonder โ isnโt there an easier way to do this?
METOBEE brings together everything you need to get around Japan: subway maps, route search, transfer guidance, real-time arrivals, timetables and pass fare calculation!
01 ๐ Train arrival info
Limited Express, Express and Rapid at a glance
Limited Express, Express, Rapid and Local trains all pull into the same platform. METOBEE shows the train type next to each arrival, so you can tell in a second whether this is the one to board.
02 ๐ข Live service notices
Why isnโt my train coming?
When a line is delayed or suspended, the notice for that line shows up right in the app. Even if you miss the Japanese announcement on the platform, youโll know what happened and how long the wait is.
03 โ Offline support
Timetables even when your data drops
Deep underground or out of roaming range, timetables stay available. The moment your connection fails is exactly when you need them most.
04 ๐ค AI search
โHow do I get to the airport?โ
You donโt need to know the station or line name. Type what you want in plain words and METOBEEโs AI takes you straight to the route, timetable or pass screen.
05 ๐ซ Passes & commuter passes
Can I use my pass for this ride?
Register the pass or commuter pass you hold, and METOBEE checks whether it covers the route you searched โ and calculates any extra fare you still owe.
06 ๐งญ Route search
The best route, calculated from live train data
Enter where you are and where youโre going, and METOBEE builds the route from current service conditions. Compare travel time, number of transfers and fare before you move.
07 โค๏ธ Favorites
The routes you look up all trip, in one tap
Hotel to station, airport to city centre โ on a trip you search the same routes several times a day. Save the ones you use and pull them up with a single tap.
